Female command of males from the Ontario dungeon: Confinement Oral

Posted by alexstory on December 5, 2008

The AIDS epidemic continues to ravage planet Earth at a rate that is truly unimaginable. Though it is no longer the exclusive demise of gay men and junkies, we can recall a time when that seemed to be the case. So many fabulous, fabulous creatures perished in the plague. We would like to take a moment, just a moment, to send love to some who have touched us, however briefly or deeply it may have been.

Peace and blessings to Bob, Daniel, Warren, Kevin, John, Bruce, Dan, Dale, Scottie, Chris, Toni, Scott, Steve, Nunzio, Tom, Patrick, and our many other brother/sisters who left us too soon. Kudos to each of you for following your own path. We are eternally grateful for the time we spent together, and for your endless inspiration. You helped make us the person we are today, and now that we are older than the oldest of you, we feel a responsibility to carry your legacies of fabulosity into the future and beyond.

To Klaus Nomi, Keith Haring, Freddie Mercury, Brad Davis, Rock Hudson, Anthony Perkins, Robert Reed, Derek Jarman, Sylvester, Ricky Wilson, Kurt Raab, Dack Rambo, Peter Allen, Wayland Flowers, Tony Richardson, Lance Loud, Leigh Bowery, Perry Ellis, Alvin Ailey, Herb Ritts, Egon von Furstenberg, Halston, Vito Russo, Michael Jeter, Rudolph Nureyev, John Boswell, Dan Hartman, Michael Bennett, Paul Jabara, Jacques Morali, Néstor Almendros, Jobriath, Ethyl Eichelberger, Robert Joffrey, Charles Ludlam, Robert Mapplethorpe, Craig Russell, John Sex, Way Bandy, Willi Smith, Michel Foucault, James Merrill, Randy Shilts, and countless others: You were incredibly creative, and you were BIG FAGS. These two facts go hand-in-hand. Your artistic expression extended into all aspects of your lives, Life being the greatest Art of all. Thank you for sharing.

To those living with HIV/AIDS, and to everyone else: Be strong. Stay centered. Love yourself. Do great things.

No, AIDS isn’t the “gay cancer” it once was thought to be; it is far worse. But let us not forget those who were swept away by that first wave. They helped make the world a little more fabulous. We can only hope to do the same.
