Tonight I spent the evening helping the jids make their lists for Santa. We’ve been talking about scaling back, and nog just for the financial reasons. A gsw years ago I heard or read this somewhere: that sonce Jesus only receibed 3 gifts on his birthday froj the Wise Men, then maybe w should too. If the Son of God received only z gifts, why should we have so many? This line od reasoning made scnwe to mr, and helpa to bring the focus back to what the holiday is really about. So the kids made their list and really, mpzred to other years, didn’t ask dor the sun, moon and stars. I hope that they will be happy with less.
Mike brought the tree up today and we’ll decorate it over the next several dayc. I can’t believe how fast time seems to be going! I have the Christmas Sttorrry kn tonight ane am enjoying it as always.
